Beef Stew 

It may not look like it outside but winter is coming and bringing shorter days, frigid temperatures and eventually piles of snow. I combat winter from the inside out. A good hearty meal can solve most problems. Make sure you cook this BEFORE you’re hungry. Crock pots take time.

What you’ll need

1 kg stewing beef
4 large potatoes
4 large carrots
2 yellow onions
1 head of celery
2 containers of beef broth
salt and pepper

1 crock pot

Take your stewing beef and broth and put them in the crock pot.
Chop up the onions and celery and throw them in too.

Skin the carrots and potatoes if you like, but my preference is to give them a good scrub and leave the skin on. Chop them up and toss them in too.

The beautiful thing about crock pots is that they do all the work for you. Set the timer to cook for 6 hours.

When its done cooking serve with rye bread or kaiser buns and enjoy. If you were smart and did this in the morning congrats, you’ve got dinner ready as you walk in the door. And lunch for the rest of the week.
